“How do I prove to my boyfriend that I do trust him?”– Elizabeth (18, Dublin) … read more
“My ex and I dated for a year and 6 months. During that time he cheated on me and lied to me on numerous occasions.
I had a feeling something was going on with him and someone at the gym. I confronted him about it and he denied it. Then I saw on his facebook that what I thought was true. He was trying to get with a girl that he hung out at the gym with. I printed out the conversations he about her and showed him. He then said that he was afraid that I was going to leave him and he didn’t want to e alone because I would try and break up with him all the time. We separated for a bit and got back together after he said everything would be different. I told him to not speak to her because of the situation. He he said no because she might want fitness advice. So that upset me, but he wouldn’t stop talking to her. After a while he stopped going in the day time to the gym so that he wouldn’t bump into her and he would invite me to gym with him. Things started to get better after that. … read more
“My boyfriend and i have been together for almost a year and he still constantly accusing me of having other guys on the side. I have never cheated on him and will never but he says since his exes have all cheated on him that i will too. He recently got a new job over nights and he thinks i have guys over all night or stay up all night talking to guys. Theres no trust and it hurts me when he accuses me. Ive talked to him about it and he says he will change but he never does. Should i leave and cut ties or is there a way i can show him that he is my one an only??”

“me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 2 years now and it’s been pretty smooth up until now… Mostly. However I have this friend that I think might like my boyfriend, and I don’t really know how to tell if he likes her back too. He’s told me once before that she came up to him at a party and seemed to be flirting with him. He wouldn’t really give me details though, he was really vague about what happened and said he didn’t remember most of what she’d said… in other conversations he has told me that she’s his “favorite of my friends,” and she’s quite literally the ONLY one of my friends that he likes. We’re both in college so he tends to go home over breaks and they both live in the same city. I thought it was weird that they would hang out without me while in LA. Especially since she didn’t tell me anything about it, only him. Is this just me? or should i be worried about what is going on?”

“I cheated on my boyfriend of two yrs. I’ve always been a private person but now he thinks it’s ok for him to check my phone for texts/calls for exchanges between me and the man I cheated on him with. I regret what I did and want to gain his trust back so should I continue to let him check my phone?”

“I was courting this woman since April 2012 and she chose to part ways with me in the first week of September this year.
We met on a social networking site. Things started really well and we had lengthy and hearty conversations to start with. We met over dinner and since then we enjoyed every moment we spent together. She always made me feel wonderful whenever I was around her. Slowly, we felt more comfortable with each other and I spoke to her parents and met her closest friends. She met my parents and my elder sister as well. From the start I was honest to her about everything and told her about my past relationship as well on the very first date when I met her over dinner. We were planning to get married in the summer of 2013. I involved her in all the major decisions in my life starting from getting the interiors of my apartment done to buying my car (what was to eventually become our car. LOL).
“The man I have been seriously dating for 5 months asked me two days ago if I had been divorced. He said he had ‘dreamt’ he had asked me. I immediately said I was, and then he got upset. It was 5 years ago and lasted only 7 months. I was young and naive and I made a mistake. I am very sensitive about this issue and was going to tell him when I felt ready. We care deeply about each other but today he told me he doesn’t know whether he can trust me! I have been nothing but good and faithful to him, and this accusation does not seem fair. I know nothing of his relationship history, but he tells me he asked me on our second date if I was and I had said I wasn’t. I do not remember him asking me such an important, and sensitive question, to me. I feel he must have had issues with this in the past, but i feel his strong accusation is unjust. I have done nothing wrong to him and feel hurt. What should I do? He said to not freak out or worry, but that he needs a couple days to mull it over and that he would see me later in the week. Not sure whether to feel mad or sad.”

“is my lesbian girlfriend cheating? i have known her for a year and we been in real committed relationship for 11months , i love her with all my heart , and i know she loves me. but i cant help to have these inside voices telling me shes cheating, its like my instinct is telling me im right. she always tells me she loves me so thats not a problem, but when we have an disagreement over something very important she just ignores me or hangs up instead of talking it out. she accuses me of cheating, when i swear, promise her that im 1000% faithful and than she agrees that i am after she hears me crying. and they always say when your bf/gf accuses you of cheating and you’re not, than they are. i asks her do she like anybody else or anything that pertains to cheating she goes nuts and gets mad. hangs up on me and curses me out. like if you’re not cheating than why are you so upset when i ask you. she still conversate with her ex gf whos now her step cousin , but gets mad when i use to text my ex. she claims she dont see her like that and going with her was a mistake but when she use to tell me stories she said she really liked her alot until she started cheating, and when you really like someone like she did those feelings just dont go away like that. sometimes i think im tripping but 95% of the time i know im not just tripping.”

“Where do I even begin??? Ive been with my boyfriend for 6 years, living together for 5 1/2 and we have a 5 year old daughter, I also have 2 other daughters he claims as his own. He was without work for over 5 years!! He FINALLY got a job a few months back but yet he refuses to help pay the bills. He flat out told me he will never give the utility companies his money. When we were living apart he did help with their bills and I asked his ex if he helped her she said he never hesitated to help her and THEIR daughter. What about OUR daughter though? Why doesnt he want to help us?? I know they cant stand each other so its not that he wants her back. I need some advice on fixing that situation.
Next is he NEVER spends time with me and the kids. Ever. And on the very rare occasion he does want to go do something, he never wants to bring the girls. He however does wake up and leave with his friend every day and stays gone until between 1 and 3 a.m. The only time I see him is when he walks in. He always goes straight to the bedroom, where he spends all of his time when he’s home.
