“So I’ve met this wonderful girl online last week, and starting on Monday have been talking to her everyday online since then. I’ve even managed to meet her in person, take her out over the weekend on a couple dates, and brought her over to my dorm for a make out session, but here’s the kicker….

We met on campus and now it’s winter break and she went home which is over 2 hours away from me. I’ve been talking to her over the net since being home but she has told me she hasn’t been out yet cuz her friends aren’t back, making me think when her friends are back she might not talk to me anymore. Plus she hasn’t mentioned anything about starting a relationship with me.

I really like her a lot and I wanna be her boyfriend but I’m not sure if I should ask now. I’m afraid she might meet someone back home, so I’ve even thought about driving out to meet her, and would ask her then to be my girlfriend. I’ve read that I should wait for her to ask me? I don’t know what to do and time is slipping away, any advice would be greatly appreciated.”

“Me and my boyfriend have been together only for 3 months now, we work together and he was engaged twice before and his 2 ex-fiances also work at the same company and we have common friends, however since our relationship started I’ve been hearing bad things about him (things that made his ex-fiances leave him ) such as; he’s not a responsible man and he’s spoiled and he knows a lot of girls, he doesn’t stick to his word and stuff like that. Anyway, I ignored what i heard and judged him only according to my relationship with him not according to what others say! Anyway, at the beginning, he’s been very nice to me, say nice things , bring me gifts, flowers, chocolates and all the things that any girl loves. He’s a gentleman too and that was what made me fall for him in the first place; he opens doors, walks between me and the street, calls me a lot to check up on me but 2 weeks ago something changed.. I don’t know what it is but I know that he’s involved in an important project at work and very stressed up but he began to do things that really made me angry. For example, we don’t go out together coz my parents don’t allow me to. Anyways he told me that he has a lot of female friends and he told me that he wanted to go out with them as he used to and just have fun in a group but I totally refused, I’m a very jealous woman and he’s a handsome guy!! “My man of 10 years just started fighting with me and putting me down out of the blue. We “never” had bad words to each other, no arguments in the entire relationship. Things were great. I became only a shell of myself I lost all self-esteem. I soon found out that he met a woman who had “just” been released from a Federal Prison and was in a federal Half Way House. She had spent 6 years for trafficking Crack through 3 States and has an extensive record that also includes Violence, she got pregnant while in Prison. She still has 5 more years Probation to do. He got her a house, furnished it, paid all her fines and Probation Fees. Got her custody of her child, had her teeth all fixed, bought her a car and lives with her now. Let me add that this man is anti drugs! I just don’t understand. She isn’t any Beauty Queen. She is actually pretty scary looking. He’s 65. She is 44, (I am 53).Her child is 6 and he used to get upset when my or his Grandchildren used to be around for too long. What happened here? I am so confused! I can’t seem to get over this! For some reason I worry about him. This is so out of character. He was the Love of My Life!”

“My brother is friends with this guy who happens to be black. When I saw him around I would try different ways to make conversation with him, but he never talked too much. A few months ago he got a job at my work and started flirting with me. We started talking a lot and hanging out. Until now I had never dated a black person, but eventually we started having sex. He would always tell me he missed me. At first he would text me all the time and I felt like things were perfect. There is only four other black people who work with us, and people started talking about how one of the black girls was his girlfriend. I stopped talking to him and tried to avoid him. I am not looking to be with someone who is dating another girl. One day while I was at work he happened to be working too, he started talking to me after almost a month of blatantly avoiding me. He was jealous that I was talking to another guy I work with…even though he is the one who started dating this other girl when I made it more then clear I wanted to be with him. He called and wanted to hook up…when I went to his house he kept making comments saying he missed me so much…and how much he liked being with me. Why is he doing this if he is dating the black girl from work. What can I do to show him that even though I am white I can be there on the same level as the black girl. Why would he even want to mess around with me if he already had a girlfriend? I need advice that isn’t just “he’s not worth it…forget it” or, “stop talking to him.”

“Basically, I think my boyfriend is being really pissy over something I didn’t think was a big deal. We were talking the other day about sports we no longer take part in but used to enjoy and I mentioned that I used to do judo in college and was pretty good, even though I only received a beginner’s yellow belt.

He thought this was hilarious because I’m tall and blond and weigh around 125lbs, and I guess he didn’t think that a pretty girl could fight her way out of a paper bag, much less do a martial art.
