It’s human nature to want to have a steady relationship in the colder months then it is in the warmer months. With winter coming there is less time spent out of the home and more time relaxing and watching television or laying by the fire. With each day that passes more people begin relationships that otherwise would not be started. Not to say these relationships will not work out. In fact, these have actually proven to be a more stable more “user friendly” type of relationship.
While there will be some who might disagree with my thoughts on this, I have observed many people for many years as they live it up in the summer months then settle down when the weather begins to change. The observations on this specific aspect of a relationship actually makes a lot of common sense, however most counselors will disagree for many other reasons, but the truth is as the weather begins to become cold our natural instincts are to cuddle, stay warm and feel secure. We as a species do not like to do this alone, so in turn we will seek out companionship so we can have conversations and company in the down time.
In learning this aspect of life it is obvious that out of this natural progression might come that one lasting relationship that one has been yearning for. As for we have all heard the term “she is a keeper” or “he is a keeper” one does not realize that a keeper is someone who can accommodate another in something that they seek. In relationships a person looks for specific qualities and although you might have found them over the warmer months when the tides change you get to see what the other is like on a more secluded genre.
In keeping this in mind remember what you seek in life, take the down time to evaluate what you are wanting, take some well deserved “me” time, and when the warmer months come back life will be so much more on track.
