About 8 months ago I began an internet connection with 2 ladies; that I was interested in from a personals website. We began our contact, when I sent a virtual kiss, they responded and an email marathon was born. I wrote a story called “The Internet Connection, Fate or Fantasy Pt 1” back in April and here is the conclusion to that story. Many have tried the internet with various degrees of success, I have been fortunate enough to have met some lovely ladies even if it did not lead to romance. The contact with the 2 ladies on the west coast and the connection we made was both immediate and intriguing.
When our story ended, the emails had become hot and heavy, so did the instant messages and later phone calls. The distance of the west coast versus east coast enabled us not only to test each other’s limits but also our resolve. I wondered if this meeting would ever take place, but yet there was no stopping the outcome, good or bad, it was inevitable. So the next phase begins of this internet fantasy, where will it lead us? I was sure of one thing, I was drawn to their words, each one with a lifestyle and an adventurous spirit uniquely their own. The fates pulled 3 people together from beyond the normal boundaries and restrictions of everyday life. We were enthralled, intrigued, and stimulated, yet we were willing to explore this opportunity to find the answer to the question…”Fate or Fantasy?”
Lady #1, Valencia, a 30 something free spirit with intriguing words and a sensuous phone voice. Valencia and I shared many late nights chatting via computer, often times till 3am, the bond was so strong that we spoke or communicated via computer on a daily basis.. She was an admitted polyamourous woman, which meant she dated or had relationships with various partners and did not desire a monogamous relationship. I did not fully understand her lifestyle and we spent many conversations with her informing me of the intricacies of the polyamourous choice. Even though I had captured a different side of her, I just truly did not know the boundaries of my heart or my mind in this matter?
Our conversations after about 4 months began to wane as everyday life and distance took its toll on both of us. It was like having a craving for something and one day waking up, realizing that the desire is no longer there! I attempted many times to contact her with no response, and I suppose that I may have over-romanticized our relationship? Finally one late night we caught each other online and connected for what would be the final communication. Valencia informed me that she did not desire to be romanced or courted and though the elements of flirtation and attraction were there. In no uncertain words, she spelled everything out so clearly that even a blind man would have understood the message!
Lady # 2, Treasure, a beautiful, charming, sexy blond from Sin City, she did make the trip to the east coast for us to meet. A mature woman with a heart of gold, she had the desire to find out if our connection was real or imagined? We met within 3-4 weeks of chatting and I made arrangements for us to stay at a local hotel. She arrived first and settled in while I was finishing up my work day. When she met me at the door, she was as breathtaking as her picture, she came up put her arms around my neck and we shared a gentle kiss. We went out for dinner and our conversation flowed with ease, with elements of flirtation mixed in making for a memorable night. Our days and nights at the hotel were a mix of talking, flirting and as consenting adults making a connection, it was heaven! In the end it was a certainty that her life was on the west coast and mine would remain on the east coast. We are in contact and she was one of the influences behind me deciding to present my writing for publication, she is my number 1 fan!
I’m sure that for all of us life will go on as usual, whatever we shared is now diminished by time and distance. So to answer the question, “Fate or Fantasy?”… It is a little of both, Valencia was a fantasy, but she opened my eyes to new possibilities; Treasure was fate that only time will continue to tell the story between us! We came into each other’s life for a reason and though we may not see it clearly now, one day it will become evident…”Hello Ms. Heartbreak, I’ve been expecting you!”
