What’s the secret to attracting your dream come true mate? Here’s what I’ve discovered in a nutshell: Stop trying to please others. Love yourself first and focus on what makes you happy. It’s easier said than done. But that’s when all the pieces came together for me! Meeting my husband in 2004 in my Philadelphia, Pennsylvania home town on April Fool’s Day kicked my relationship coaching practice into high gear. Why? Friends asked us how we found such a perfect match. We both did the same thing. We wrote our romantic wish list before we met. Jason’s had five items, mine had thirty and we both got what we wanted! Now I have a blast helping skeptical singles who consider themselves spiritually minded professionals/ entrepreneurs how to remove the blocks to happiness. We do this by becoming a love magnet for only the qualities you desire in a mate. Through my tele-classes, talks and private sessions my clients embrace the title of my co-authored book: “You Can’t Get It ‘Cause You’ve Already Got It!” (A blind figure skater and a visionary writer’s inspirational guide to moving through life). In there you’ll get a powerful exercise that helped me clarify what I wanted in a mate. The process helped me quickly recognize that Jason was the one I prayed for. find a good role modle7. “Adopt” new parents or role models. Find a couple that exhibits all the qualities you want in your marriage. They say you can’t choose your parents. However there is always an option to spend time and appreciate an older couple who seems to have the winning formula for marriage.

6. Invite your adopted parents over for dinner or help them around the house. (This is good detective work at it’s best) During this time ask them what their secret is for having a long happy marriage. Then as my 67 year old client Steve says, “Shut up and listen.”
