As we have discussed, it is easy to become comfortable with being single and convincing ourselves that written and verbal declarations are enough to draw the right person into our lives. Those visualizations are important as we are instructed in Habakkuk 2:2 to “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” My encouragement is not to stop there as God wants you to open up as many doors possible so He can bring that blessed relationship into your life.

There are many singles who for various reasons decide that dating is not worth the time, hassle and effort that it requires. One comment I hear often is, “I am so tired of telling my story to new people! I just want to meet someone and not have to go over the details of who I am anymore.” This feeling may resonate with you as well and as a former matchmaker, I do acknowledge that sometimes it can be redundant to retell your background each time you have a date.
