It is natural for us, when moving forward, to sneak a peak behind us, every once in a while.
Sometimes we do it, to be sure it is still back there, and not creeping up to us, to affect our present.

Other times, however, we stare too closely in that rearview mirror, allowing those mental objects not only to appear closer than they are, or should be, for that matter; but we allow them to be in our view, making our present moment a bit cloudier than need be.
All of us have memories, people, experiences, that have perhaps clouded our judgement on experiences moving forward.

The great thing about this is that we can leave it all behind us, by walking forward, with no judgement, at all!
It takes all the complication of trying to understand what things are, and how people are, when we simply let it be what it is, without looking at it, from any memory of the past.
Of course, we are here to go through things to grow, and it is important for us to learn from what we go through.

But, by staring at something and giving such energy to our present moment from all that has transpired in the past, we may not be giving our all right now.

Look to the future, with an open heart, and opening yourself up to all the possibilities that life has to offer.

Offer your hand to those in need, no matter how closed off others may have been to you, before now.

Waking up listening to the birds, and  seeing the sun peak through the trees and buildings of this beautiful city I live in, there is not much to complain about.
We can always find a silver lining to any situation, just as we can find something to whine about.

What we decide, is what we get.

We can sit in upset for that which we do not have, or be thankful for all that we do, and all of those who we have around us.
Our lives are made up of our energy, and the energy we accept.
Some days, we accept more than we can handle, and create a space in our lives that leads us to a place we may feel discomfort.

Some days we can walk through life, with so much happiness and gratitude, we cannot imagine it any other way.

Whichever way you look at life, will be your life.
However you chose to walk your path, will be your path.

We can notice all the potholes, and rubble, uneven land, and even quicksand.
But if we chose to take better care on our walk and pay attention to the spaces available to us, which are always there, that find peace, we will enjoy our journey more often than not.

Not feeling there is always a fight to be fought.

We know that our circumstances don’t define us.

If anything, they make us stronger, the harder the situations we face.
We cannot know how  much power we have inside of us, if we are not given the opportunities in life, to have to use our power, whatever the case may be.

Not that we all wish on a daily basis, to be using our emotional and mental muscles, from struggling with hard times.
We do, more often than not, deserve a break to simply smell the roses.

Our lives are consistent with ebbs and flows.
High energy, where we can’t stop moving, and low energy, where perhaps we cannot even move forward.

The most important thing we can do, in any situation we are in, is to accept it, and let the energy flow, however that looks like, for us.

We know that with bad days, come good, it is just whether or not we can crack a smile, no matter what the day brings.

Whether we share similar stories that allow us to evolve together, and understand each other, or tell of our stories that others, not having experienced, can learn from; it is always a unique story, and ours alone, in how we see it.

Not all of us have had the opportunity to see and enjoy what those beside us have.
And also, not all of those beside us, have had the pleasure to see all that we have been so blessed to see.

Growing in relationships and connections from sharing stories, can help liberate us, entertain us and moreover manifest our dreams, knowing that everything is possible, through seeing life, through the eyes of others, who have been there, where we otherwise may have never dreamt possible.

We are here, together to come together in love.
Our views may be different. Sometimes, and we may spend so much time trying to get others to see our point of view; so much that we forget that just by sharing ourselves, with those around us, for who we are, not for who we want them to be, to us, we are fulfilling our purpose to play a role in the lives of those we love, by being there for them, and with them.

Share your stories and enjoy the stories of others for what you see, and watch evolve in love, right before your very eyes.

Our ultimate desire in life, no matter where we hang our hats, or rest our heads, is all the same.

We wish to love and be loved.
A midst our ultimate desire rests on our shoulders many stresses, fears and perceptions that can tend to take our mindsets away from this very thing.

We, as individuals, do not want to let pride and ego stand in our way of love and support.

We don’t wake up in the morning with the very intention of making it very hard to find peace and care toward and from others.

Even so, when we set out to experience our days, we can experience situations that, subconsciously, take over our focus and our genuine understanding that Love will heal all.

This creating a block for ourselves, and others, and in our connectedness to those we love. Catching fear in the act may not be easy. We may not recognize that it is speaking through us, and taking over what could be a loving connection.

For us to stop fear and ego in its tracks, all we truly have to do is be open to getting a little closer, and being more open about what we are feeling, so we can allow our truth to be stronger than fear,  and stronger than the bi-product of behaviours that can take over, when we don’t.

Try it for a day.

When you feel frightened, or threatened, and choose pride, or ego to protect yourself; instead, believe that you are always protected and take your fears and share openly to others, in love, rather than letting your fears, take over you.

Walking through our lives, since we took our very first steps, we have been given such amazing opportunities.
While when we were young, we had more guidance from our parents, as to which  direction will lead us to a better place, more often than not; we now, as Adults have the power in us to take life a step further, for us to Succeed.
 
Not every day is the easiest to be in a frame of mind that is confident, so much that we are capable of giving it our all, to make the most of our lives.
 
Sometimes, it takes using the strength that others give us, to get to that place of security when it comes to securing the life we truly desire.

We want to, of course, believe that we are Independent and have our personal power positioned just so, so we feel we are able to accomplish as much, if not, all, that we need, for ourselves.
 
In saying that, there is a lot to be said for how our lives, and the roles we each play, in each other’s allows for each one of us to flourish.
 
We are here, together, to help one another to learn, and grow from the connections we encounter.
While it is certainly great to stand on our own two feet, we can always be certain there will be someone, close, holding their hand out, to help out, when we need a helping hand, to grow.

Within our day, we have the conversations with so many people that we come across, and then we have the conversations with ourselves, that come across our thoughts.

If you are anything like me, which I just know you are; there are some conversations, within, which can stump you; confuse you; to the point of downright causing you to rethink everything you just thought about, altogether.

Then, in all bewilderment, before you, lies one, with many answers and messages, for all that you seek.

It is strange, that we can go in circles and circles in our minds searching for disclosure on an array of  issues we have attached to- and then, without a moment’s notice, a lifetime of clarity comes straight for us, with the willingness to help.

Life is always going to be one thing for certain- SURPRISING.

That almost seems like an oxymoron, if I recall correctly what the definition of an oxymoron is.
But all kidding aside;

There is a magic in life, that when we get scared and feeling a sense that something is not right, someone comes into our lives, to remind us that we are still, alright.

That though life will take its toll, and fear will play its role- someone is waiting, hoping to help us make sense of all that truly matters.

Like” Salt of the Earth”, if you will.
And if you are willing, you will accept what is yours to have…

Of this feeling of powerlessness, it is great to know that we carry the power, within us, of how to get it back!

Not everything in life, for us, is going to be black and white.
And just when we feel we get it, something may come into our view and changes our own view of life, seemingly out of nowhere.

We could be feeling confident that things are working out so well, and get a bit side tracked by stress, bringing down our moods.
Or we could be feeling restless, and worried that things just won’t look up; and then we look up and see a new and smiling face, who makes us change our way of thinking.

Our fears can be used for empowering our lives, by looking at them, taking them, and making a point to see what they are telling us, rather than allowing them to tell us how to live our lives.
It is always up to us, if we want to throw in the towel, or hit the ground running, to stand on our stage, in the spotlight, with grace, in this role we have been given.

It is interesting, that once we see what our thoughts are, we can see that many of them, with a little tweaking to the positive shift our lives into a 180, allowing us to feel back on track.
Many of our thoughts, are not even our own, but are resonance of past emotions, or conversations with other.
In life, to get a better view, we just have to call the dogs off, in our minds, and realize that they may just be barking up the wrong tree!

In our journey, and in our life as a whole, we definitely focus on getting things done, and getting things right.

We pay attention to detail, where it matters to us, and we do our best to be our best, and to make the best of our time.

With this, as individuals, we have our own set of individual deeds that we follow, based on our beliefs that we have carried with us along our way.

Some of us, depending on how we are accomplishing our goals, may be in a place of reevaluating what we do, how we do it, and whether or not we need to tweak our ways a little.

Of this, it can come down to not so much changing who we are as it is about expanding ourselves, and our mindsets, to go above and beyond what we may feel comfortable doing.

As creatures of habit, we also have a habit of fearing change.

We make decisions as safely as we can, to be sure that we don’t put ourselves in a position that may be something we regret doing.

By doing so, and having a perception that taking an extra step is too extreme, we risk being in a place that is stagnant from growth.

If we believe, in our minds, that we cannot take a chance to do something more than we are, then we will be right.

Whatever our perception is; is our life.

If we can perceive our lives as being abundant, through being rightly deserving of such abundance, mixed with proactive determination to carry this out- perhaps we can throw any negative perceptions out, and bring in all that will serve us for Success!

Or so, I think so.

There really is a person for every job.

I spent the first part of my Monday morning happily organizing my business notes, and goals for the new month, excited to get a fresh start to February, and to use whatever lessons I learned last month, to put to good use.

As the rest of my morning proceeded, unfortunately not much of what I was executing had much to do with my passion or the goals I had set out for the month, just hours before.

I didn’t feel so alive in that moment, and felt I needed more, to kick things up a notch.

As I started to get a bit down and drained, losing some of my motivation- I looked up, and it was already time for lunch.

Gladly I made my way home to yummy food, and just in time for a little taste of Oprah TV to boot.

It is so strange how things always come to you right when you need them most.

Low and behold on Oprah today, featured a President of a Waste Management company, who went undercover to learn the various roles of just a select few of the thousands he had employed under him.

Amidst the experience, the major lesson he learned was just how passionate those in the least desirable positions were about their job!
It didn’t matter that one man spent all his working hours literally cleaning what many of us would only lose sleep over; he actually did his job with conviction to get it done, and done right.
Needless to say, coming back to my office after swallowing myself pity, with my salmon, I realized, yet again, that it really never is what we are doing, but always how we are and how we behave, in what we do.

I am very blessed that the role I have made a decision to be in, right now, is one that is so flexible, casual and allows me a chance to learn many things about business, to take into my own business, for growth and Leadership.

And sometimes it takes watching others take lead in their own life, in situations that would otherwise lead you to believe they must be miserable!

“Happiness is an inside job” I remember reading on a shirt years ago…

…sometimes I need to be reminded, too.
