I see so many commercials referencing large beautiful diamonds and how one needs to pay a predetermined amount of money for an engagement ring in order to follow some prewritten law of etiquette. I see so many women complain that their significant others did not spend a lot on their ring or that it’s to small and the list goes on and on. I wonder why so much value is put on such a inadequate object and just because a person cannot afford or maybe they just don’t want to waste money on a large object they are talked about and sometimes even punished in some way. Sad that there are so many out there who put strings on a relationship right from the get go!

It’s human nature to want to have a steady relationship in the colder months then it is in the warmer months. With winter coming there is less time spent out of the home and more time relaxing and watching television or laying by the fire. With each day that passes more people begin relationships that otherwise would not be started. Not to say these relationships will not work out. In fact, these have actually proven to be a more stable more “user friendly” type of relationship.

Most people when they speak about equal rights in a relationship really don’t want the equal part, especially most women! When you get down to the facts about equality most women want to be pampered, spoiled but please don’t use the words “taken care of”. It’s hard enough to be out in the dating pool, but to add into the mix children and it can become over whelming. Some will tell you that your not dating the child however if this child chooses not to like you then it will add unnecessary stress into the relationship. The statement about not dating the child is only half true, when you are dating a person with kids I hate to tell you but it’s a package deal. Ok to all of you soon to be brides and grooms out there, here is some sound advice, stop trying to make it perfect! While there are some out there who take a few years to plan that perfect wedding, the gown is picked, the flowers, the attendants, the food and so on and so forth, each month as it gets closer to that blissful day you do something else to make it run smooth, then all of a sudden a week before the day, all hell breaks loose.
