“I have an interest in this man who shows all the classic signs of “liking me”. for instance everytime I am around him he stares than looks away when I catch him. He also tries to touch me in a non-sexual way when we are around each other and gets nervous around me but tells me I’m gorgeous, pretty, classy etc. Over texts messages he calls me names like sweetie, sweet girl, dear yet never escalates the relationship from there. We live in different states, both divorces and his career has him all over the US. I’m just wondering why he continues to keep texting me when he’s not interested in asking me out. We have texted every 4-8 days for over a year. I’m always under the impression if I man is truly interested he will pursue but I’m driving myself crazy trying to figure him out. We have a several occassions kissed and fooled around but never slept together. Honestly I would get if he was just trying to keep me around for a booty call but he’s very respectful around me. Please help

Maybe he’s shy.
Maybe he doesn’t want a long distance relationship.
Maybe he likes you but doesn’t know how to tell you.
Maybe he’s afraid you’ll reject him.
