Hi, Jessica –
One of the most difficult things to do is helplessly watch a friend make what you think is a mistake. However, unless she asks for your advice about this guy, all you can do is support her, continue to befriend her, and be there to help her when/if the relationship ends. If, in fact, he’s a player, she’ll find out soon enough.

It is likely that your friend knows but does not want to face the fact that the guy is a player. She is happy to be going out. I don’t think that you can help her, she will likely get mad at you for forcing her to facing the truth.

Dear Jessica,
The only thing you can do as a friend is to be a friend. That means expressing your opinion about the guy and then stepping back.
You may know the guy is a jerk, but your friend has to learn for herself. If or when she finds out for herself, you need to be a supportive friend. Don’t tell her you were right and she was wrong, just tell her you’re sorry she’s been hurt.
People have to learn for themselves.
